No, you do not need to run / walk to participate in the event. This is a fun event, you are always welcome to join, support the cause and encourage the participants.
You don’t need a PayPal account to register. When registrants click on “Submit” button, there is an option to use a credit or debit card.
There is no registration deadline. You can register up to the day of the run.
However, we encourage participants to take advantage of our early registration pricing.

Yes, each participant is required to sign a waiver to participate. Please, bring a signed waiver with you on run day or early check-in
The 10K Run will start at 10:00 a.m., and the 5K Run will start at 10:15 a.m. If you have not taken advantage of early check-in, you will want to arrive by 9:15 a.m. on race day to pick up your bib, t-shirt and awesome surprises!
Yes, there will be two early check-in days this year.
1. Monday, October 10 @ at Tom Matsumoto Elementary Room 25 (5:00PM – 7:00PM)
2. Wednesday, October 12 @ at Carolyn Clark Elementary (5:00PM – 7:00PM)
Yes, but please bring their registration confirmation and signed run waiver with you.
Hellyer Park has plenty of parking for all participants in the Buena Vista and Cottonwood group area parking lots.
We encourage carpooling for two reasons: 1) it’s good for the environment, and 2) the County charges $6 for each car to park in its lots.
Please bring $6 cash in order to speed up the process and allow everyone ample time to get to the main area and check in.
Yes. Bathrooms are located near the start/finish area.
There is facility for accessible bathrooms as well.
Yes, you can buy t-shirts at the park for $10 each after the run starts.
There will be medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in men, women and youth categories.
In addition, we will have post-run snacks and ice-cream for all participants!
Yes, there will be a designated location near the check-in area where you can leave your non-valuable items for storage during the run.
Please bring a bag to store your belongings. Please do not leave valuables in your bags, as we are not responsible for these items.
We love volunteers. And, in fact, we are fortunate enough to have tremendous support from our Community.

Yes, but please keep the volume low enough so that you can hear other runners or instructions from event personnel.
We also ask that you remove them when you reach the Aid Station and in a large crowd. Above all, safety first!
Yes. This event is designed to be family friendly, so strollers are permitted on the course.
Safety must always come first. Please be cautious with your stroller, so as not to trip or collide with other participants.
For your pet’s and the participants’ safety, please leave pets at home.
No. The race will take place, rain or shine. We recommend people to check the weather beforehand and dress appropriately.
No. We are raising funds to support Omar’s Dream Program. We presume that, by having visited our site and registering, you are here for the same purpose.
All of Omar’s Dream Run proceeds will go to fund Omar’s Dream Program.
