2016 Review

There are plenty of reasons for us to be thankful this year and we would like to take this opportunity to highlight few key points:

  • Omar’s Dream Program was launched at Good Samaritan with an initial donation of $15000. We are pleased with the strong interest in the program and expect this effort to ramp over the course of next year.
  • Omar’s Dream Program was launched in 2014 at Lucile Packard Children Hospital at Stanford. We are happy to report that the program is a huge success and is currently being used by 40+ students. We are now partnered with Stanford Adolescent Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Program to increase our reach to many more kids and young adults. A donation of $5000 was given to AYA program to continue their efforts.
  • We continued our outreach to individual schools by educating them about the benefits of the Program. These efforts are starting to bear fruit and we are now supporting students with iPads and other technology so that they can continue their schooling from their homes.
  • We held our 4th annual Dream Run! Even with unfavorable weather conditions we saw a huge turnout. We could not have pulled off such an event were it not for the dozens of volunteers who worked tirelessly for months to make it possible.
  • We have been blessed with tremendous sponsors, they are always eager to help us and with their support we have been able to keep our expenses under control. Please, support our sponsors. They are the best!
  • Every year we have seen participation in the annual run increase. This year was no different, we had over 400 registered runners. Thank you for taking time out to support our cause. We hope to see you again next year in October for our 5-year anniversary!
  • We raised more than $30,000 this year. This money will enable us to support our existing hospitals as well as expand our program to additional hospitals.

Thank you once again for your kindness and putting your trust in Omar’s Dream Foundation.
